Hi Folks

Well its back on again in October.

Jenny’s kitchen renovations have been sorted out and the weather has dried things out so we are heading to Jenny Robertshaw’s home on Sunday the 19th to do a makeover on her compost bays, making them more user friendly, improving there accessibility and taking advantage of water runoff when it rains.

The other main job is to renovate a section of the garden that hasn't really been working out due to shallow soil on rocky ground, so it’s either too wet or too dry.

There is also an abundance of loos sandstone rocks in the ground so we will see if we can put those to good use by forming them into mounds on contour with soil, capturing organic matter to building up the soil and improving water retention and distribution over time.

On other matters there is a free space for a permabee for November so if you want to get a project under way for the silly season now is your best and last chance to put your hand up. First in best dressed, just fill out the forme and send it back.

As always you will need to go on line to register if attending the permabee and remember to dress up for the occasion, nice boots, a fetching hat, some slinky gardening gloves. You know what I’m talking about!

Till then, best wishes & happy gardening.

Peter
