Saturday 10th October 10am -  4pm

Join us for an exciting day as Sally Blackwell teachs us how to weave baskets using natural ingredients found in your garden. You can see her work on her website

Sally Blackwell: "I am a firm believer that everything has an inherent value and should not be wasted. I have been experimenting with natural fibres, grasses, vines, recycled materials and other materials found in my local environment to turn what might have been wasted into something that is useful and pleasing to the eye, hence my logo - waste not fibre.  Each piece is unique, drawing from whatever comes to hand that sparks my imagination."

Sally will be running a workshop using material you can collect from the garden. She will give an explanation of the types of plants suitable for weaving as well as harvesting and storing tips.

All materials will be provided by Sally but if you have something that you particularly want to use from your garden, please bring it along and we will experiment with it.

This is an all day workshop so bring lunch for yourself and a snack for afternoon tea to share with the group.
