This is a great opportunity to visit the Aboriginal not-for-profit native plant nursery IndigiGrow at La Perouse.

The tour runs for about an hour and a half. It includes a cultural talk about our native plants and Caring for Country, a tour of the nursery, and the option to finish with propagating one of our native plants into tube stock. They have lots of plant stock for sale, including bush tucker that actually grows where we live. Come and be introduced to the wide ranging benefits of native plants! Have all your questions answered!!

IndigiGrow is an Aboriginal Social Enterprise with a focus on re-connecting Aboriginal people with Caring for Country. Their bush regenerators work with experts in the field, including specialists in endangered ecological communities, particularly with the critically endangered Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub. IndigiGrow is 100% Aboriginal owned and operated and employs seven Aboriginal apprentices. 

Yarra Bay Centennial Park is a 3 minute drive from IndigiGrow. Let's bring food and drink for morning tea after the tour. There are chairs, tables and amenities but just in case maybe bring some fold up chairs and a table. We will car pool if possible.
