We are heading to the orchards in Bilpin to pick our own apples and other fruits in season. For those who are attending the cider workshop on 30 April, this is an opportunity to get some lovely fresh apples for the cider. All members and guests are welcome to come and pick fruit, but the cider-making is for members only, and separate registration is required.

The plan is to car pool as far as possible and meet at Bilpin Botanic Orchard at 10 am. This is a lovely family-run orchard where they understand their stewardship of the land and strive to live in harmony with the life around. There is a $5 entry fee, then you pay for what you pick by the kilo.

We will distribute a list of other orchards that are also open for picking your own fruit, as well as other places of interest in the area that you may wish to visit.

We will meet for lunch at a local café at 12:30 pm, venue to be confirmed. Please let Wendy Pryor know by 17 April if you would like to join in so that we can book a table in advance. wendyp57@tpg.com.au.

Please register if you are attending so we know who to expect, and to assist with car pooling.
