Monthly gathering: How trees talk to each other – James Carrick
7pm Monday 15th April, Lindfield Seniors Community Hall

Tree huggers are going to love our April speaker, James Carrick, who will enchant us with tales about how trees talk to each other through soil fungi, and the mutually beneficial (symbiotic) relationships between plants and other organisms.

James has a passion (bordering on obsession, he says!) for trees, plants and soil. He has over 30 years of experience in the horticulture industry, including landscaping, arboriculture, nursery, and bush regeneration. As a part-time teacher at Ryde Horticulture College (TAFE) since 2006, James specializes in botany, plant identification, tree and soil health, amenity pruning, and landscape construction. He's a tree hugging, flower sniffing, animal kissing, planet loving, dirt worshipper... and proud of it!!

Doors open at 6.30pm. Come early to check out the library and find a treasure on the reuse & recycle table. Tea and coffee will be served after speaker. Please bring something small to share for supper.

Guest are welcome and this is a free event. Please register so we know how many people to expect.
