Monthly gathering: Wholly Shrink - soft plastic recycling!

Due to work at the Lindfield Community Centre, this month's meeting location has been moved to the Roseville Chase Community Centre on 6 Babbage Rd, Roseville Chase.

On Monday night, Brice Lamarque of Wholly Shrink! is coming to talk to us about a simple technology that addresses one of the most annoyingly persistent issues facing consumers wishing to cut down on plastic waste.

In his talk, he’ll explore the evolving landscape of soft plastic recycling in Australia, tracing its history, challenges, and future potential. He’ll explain what led to the collapse of RedCycle, Australia's largest soft plastic recycling program, what has emerged since, and why soft plastics remain one of the most problematic materials in our waste stream. 

From this context, he’ll introduce The Shrinker — a project born from supermarket supply chain frustrations and a moment of clarity during COVID lockdowns. He’ll share their journey, mission, and how they're working to empower households to take control of soft plastics with simplicity, education, and behaviour change at the core.
