GRAFTING WORKSHOP with lunch and pruning a fig  tree

Sunday 24th August  at 11.30 am

Grafting is a Technique for joining the tissues of two different plants so that they grow together. You can then  have several types of citrus in one tree or different varieties of apples and pears growing together. Plums and peaches can also grow on one tree.

Stephanie knows how to do this and will show us the various skills after lunch  on Sunday 24th August .

At about  11.30, before lunch, I will prune Stephanie’s fig tree. If you have a fig tree it is time to prune now to get a good crop, so come to join us to learn or help. To prune fig trees you need good gloves as the sap can affect some people’s skin.

Bring something for lunch and we will share the goodies in Stephanie’s lovely garden, or inside if it is cold.    Tea and coffee provided.

Please register so that we know the numbers and can contact you if things change.
