Monthly Gathering:
Fungi in the Garden – Hidden Networks & Ancient Stories
7pm Monday 16th March, Lindfield Seniors Hall

This month we explore the fantastic fungi – a kingdom of organisms that are vital to all our terrestrial ecosystems, but are hidden until they’re ready to reproduce. Lincoln De Kalb will take us on a journey into fungi's mysterious world – what they are, why they matter, and how we can harness their benefits in our gardens. All with a little folklore and magic thrown in!

Lincoln is a Central Coast based gardener, mushroom grower and curious student of the fungal world. His interest in fungi grew from practical experiments in composting and mushroom cultivation, and has expanded into the ecology, folklore and hidden roles fungi play in healthy landscapes. Lincoln enjoys turning his knowledge of natural systems into ideas that others can use in their own backyards, homes and beyond. When he’s not experimenting with fungi, he can usually be found tending vegetables, raising seedlings, recording frogs and contributing to iNaturalist. His approach blends practical observation, immersive experiences with fungi-peers, and a healthy appreciation for the strange and fascinating kingdom of fungi.

Doors open at 6.30pm. Come early to help set up, browse the library or find a treasure on the Reuse and Recycle table.

Stick around for a cuppa and a chat after the speaker. Supper will be provided by the Hornsby group this month.

This event is free for members and guests. Please register so we know how many to expect.
