Can you imagine all your permaculture dreams on a piece of paper, with your name on the list of PSN permabees to help you get started? This is a wonderful opportunity to get started and join a class so that you have a ready made team to talk things over with, to help solve your problems and admire your magnificent garden.

Introduction to Permaculture Course: 7 Saturdays 9.00am to 1.00pm

    November 12, 19, 26 - 2016 and February 4, 11, 18, 25 - 2017

Are you new to Permaculture and not sure what it’s all about?  Please come and join us for our Introduction to Permaculture course which starts in November and finishes, after the Christmas break, in February 2017.

    Dates:                   November 12, 19, 26 and February 4, 11, 18, 25

Day and time:       Saturday mornings 9.00am to 1.00pm with some excursions and garden inspections as extensions.

The class will be limited to 12 students.

    What you will learn
The course will concentrate on Permaculture in a home garden. During the 7‑week course, you will learn

    ·       how to apply the principles of Permaculture design to your home garden design which can be a suburban backyard, balcony, rooftop, courtyard, planter boxes in a sunny part of your house or apartment, or pots on a window ledge.

    ·       how to incorporate the secrets of herb spirals, swales, and keyhole gardens into your garden plan

    ·       how to analyse and document the features, that affect your choices and how to overcome the challenges that each garden brings. By the end of the course you will have learned how to design a permaculture garden and choose the best plants and animals that will suit your situation.

However, most importantly, you will learn

    ·       how to create, test, and nurture your soil, that magical medium that recycles so much “waste” and offers us so much in return.

This course is offered to PSN members only. The presenters are offering their time as a gift to PSN members. You can join Permaculture Sydney North on our website

The cost includes a copy of the textbook for the course, “Introduction to Permaculture” by Bill Mollison.

    Members:             $250

Non‑members:     $280 (incudes membership of PSN)
