June 2015

Yes, we have photographic evidence of people having fun at a PSN Permabee. Outrageous!

Stephanie's garden had a wonderful winter makeover at last month's permabee. Not content with setting us just one task, our Garden Team Leaders, Shawn and Jeremy, organised a multi-project extravaganza. We built protective coverings for a veggie patch from polypipes, bamboo & netting, installed a new pond, rigged up a possum-proof (we hope!) electric fence, removed a few small problem trees, weeded, and mulched until we could no longer lift another shovel load!

We had a great mix of old and new members sharing tools, ideas, laughter, and a very fine morning tea and lunch. We even had a demonstration of how to make a micro-bat box. What's not to like? And if the possum-proof fence doesn't work, I'm guessing from the looks on Chris' & Stephanie's faces, they have some other ideas for dealing with their favourite furry friends...

Have you retrofitted your home?

We'd like to dedicate one of our monthly Lindfield gatherings this year for PSN members to share experiences of some of the ways you've transformed your homes to be more sustainable.

The format of the evening will depend upon who shows an interest in telling their stories, and we are open to suggestions – panel discussion, small group workshops, etc.

Please contact Diana if you are interested or have any questions.
